Bio

Amber joined the Castellano Group at NC State University in Fall 2024, where she now focuses on the hyperpolarization of nitrogen-15 nuclei. Prior to joining NC State, she earned her B.S. in Chemistry from Aurora University, a small academic institution in Aurora, Illinois. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as an assistant to the lab manager and participated in two NSF REU programs. The first was at Miami University in Ohio, where she gained experience with atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) reactions. The second was at Southern Illinois University, where she focused on the characterization of perfluorocarbon polymers.

When she is not in the lab, Amber enjoys spending time with friends and watching cute animal videos.
