Bio

Abigail was born in Lenoir and raised in Hickory, North Carolina. She is a first-generation student who attended and graduated from The University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2025 with a B.S. in chemistry and a minor in psychology. At UNCW, she worked with Dr. S. Bart Jones and Dr. Robert D. Hancock studying d- and f-block metal complexes in aqueous solutions and with Dr. Jeremy B. Morgan synthesizing novel indole and cannabinoid derivatives. She looks forward to the Castellano group being a part of her graduate school journey! Outside of the lab, she likes to draw, listen to music, read/write, play video games, and talk extensively about her interests!
