Bio

Noura was born and raised in Lebanon . She earned her B.S. in Chemistry from the American University of Beirut (AUB). After graduation, she conducted research under the supervision of Prof. Lara Halaoui, focusing on the effects of cobalt phosphides on hydrogen evolution reactions for solar water splitting. In Fall 2025, Noura joined the Castellano group at NC State, where she began studying the photophysical dynamics and fundamentals of Cu(I)-based chromophores. Outside the lab, Noura enjoys exploring new cultures, sampling diverse cuisines, and embarking on adventurous trips.
