Reem Alameh
Bio
Reem was born in Beirut, Lebanon. Her childhood was divided between Lebanon and UAE while she spent a good amount of her teen years in KSA. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the Lebanese American University (LAU) in 2020 with High Distinction. At LAU, she did her research project on the valorization of waste cooking oils under the supervision of Dr. Ahmad Houri and joined Dr. Rony Khnayzer’s research on ruthenium complexes as potential photochemical sensors. After graduation, she joined the Castellano Lab, where she is currently a third-year PhD student. Reem is part of CHASE and has served as a founding member and communications subcommittee co-chair at CHASE Early Career Network. She likes to enjoy nature, play badminton, and knit!
